Day 2: Paperwork and Hanging Out in Chengdu

It's official. We are now a family of six. Dutch genes are now counter balanced by Chinese genes.... We started the day watching Peter's amazement at the massive hotel buffet. One can only imagine what goes through his mind at times like that. East GR friends will notice Peter's first T-shirt and be happy that we are starting the "Tradition" immediately. We spent the morning completing the adoption papaerwork at the same office where we met Peter on Monday. We were a bit nervous for Peter as we entered the lobby and greeted the same orphanage staff less than 24-hours after the dramatic "abduction." I snapped a photo of the ominous white van waiting outside so that you would get a feel for the scene from yesterday. The rest of the photos are of us playing cards and strolling around Chengdu.

Comments:
How exciting... You have a beautiful family. They all look like they are doing so well. I can't believe how much they have all grown and Ning Ning has taken to his family so well. What a difference a few days make. We will be following your trip and return. Thank you for including us.
